Happy Thanksgiving from Speaker Jon Burns and Dayle
Dayle and I are wishing you a happy and blessed Thanksgiving. As we gather with family and loved ones today, I hope we are all reminded of everything that we have to be grateful for this holiday season.
While many across the globe face violence and unrest, I am grateful to live in a nation where peace and freedom continue to prevail, and for the men and women in our armed forces who continue to defend and uphold the principles of democracy here at home.
We’re grateful for all the first responders and law enforcement officers across the state who put themselves in harms way to ensure we are safe in our homes and communities.
While many of our neighbors across the Southeast continue to recover from Hurricane Helene, Dayle and I are grateful for those of you who have placed your lives on hold to support relief efforts, and for our leaders who continue to advocate for Georgia’s farmers, communities, and families as we rebuild.
I’m also incredibly thankful for your continued friendship and your support of the Georgia House as we work to keep our state the best place to live, work, and raise a family for generations to come.
May God continue to bless you, your family, and the great state of Georgia.
My best,
Speaker Jon Burns
