New Fiscal Year + Independence Day

It was a great week meeting with business leaders, discussing House priority legislation, and celebrating Independence Day with family and friends!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Georgia Oilmen’s annual conference to discuss the role petroleum products will play in the future of Georgia’s energy production strategy. Our state has witnessed unprecedented economic success and record-breaking development—due in large part to our all-of-the-above approach to energy production throughout the state.

We’re looking forward to continuing our work alongside our energy partners of every kind as we look to develop a long-term strategy that will ensure the future success of business and industry across Georgia.

FY 2025 Legislation

Independence Day

On Thursday, we celebrated the 248th anniversary of our nation’s founding.

As we continue to reflect on the values our country stands for, I hope we remember the brave men and women who sacrificed to defend the freedoms and liberties we enjoy every day. May God continue to bless the United States!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I look forward to hearing from each of you soon!

My best,

Speaker Jon Burns
