Senator Jack Hill Leadership Scholarship
Dear friends,
The Senator Jack Hill Leadership Scholarship is an exemplary way to honor Jack. Being an alumnus of Georgia Southern College, he took pride in the school that provided him with an excellent education, something that we both shared. Jack always would make a huge effort to be at Georgia Southern sporting events and groundbreakings for new buildings, and I tried hard to keep up with him. Watching our university grow and evolve made and continues to make us proud.
Jack was the definition of a servant leader and I can think of no better way to honor him than through this scholarship. For me, Jack was more than a colleague or public servant; he was my friend, my mentor and one of my biggest champions in life. Words cannot adequately describe the respect and admiration I had for Jack Hill. He was a man I could turn to for a smile, a laugh, or a hand up when I was down. He was like a brother to me, and I will miss him every day. We are all better – Georgia Southern is better - and this state is better – for having known Jack Hill.
Thank you to Georgia Southern University for this scholarship as a way to memorialize our dear friend. I hope you will join me in contributing to the Senator Jack Hill Leadership Scholarship.
