Our National Economy

Friends,

We’ve all seen the news over the past few weeks about the economic difficulties that have been hitting our country as a result of Washington’s policies.

Indeed, even if you never watch the evening news, you can’t miss higher gas prices, increased costs at the grocery store, and mortgage rates steadily climbing for those of our neighbors looking to buy a new home.

Unfortunately, the Biden administration seems unaware or unwilling to address the issues it has created over the last several years without causing further damage to the economy.

That said, Georgia’s leaders including the Governor and leaders in the General Assembly have been working hard to protect Georgians as best we can during these difficult times.

Throughout the pandemic, the Governor and the General Assembly did all we could to keep businesses operating in Georgia, protecting your paycheck while meeting the needs of folks around the world for goods ranging from cars and airplanes to carpet and flooring to farm products like peaches, blueberries, and poultry.

I believe that the best way for us to find our way out of the Biden economy between now and the next Presidential election, Georgia will need to continue our focus on job growth, tax cuts, and the elimination of red tape.

If the American business community learned nothing else during the pandemic, they saw first hand the real world impact of liberal policies in states like California, Illinois, and New York when their leadership teams spent time outside the bubbles of liberal cities like San Francisco, Chicago, and New York.

That’s why I believe that no matter what economic uncertainties we face, Georgia and our like-minded neighbors will continue to see favorable business development and job growth.  Coupled with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, our Higher Educational  institutions and our world class  Technical Colleges, along with our state and local governments we are well positioned to welcome good job opportunities to our state.

Conclusion

Proven leadership across Georgia will continue to play a key role in protecting Georgians from the impacts of the Biden economy, while positioning our state for continued success now and into the next Presidential administration.
